Because digital content is delivered instantly, different rules apply compared to physical purchases.

  • Payments are processed securely through supported payment methods

Once a purchase is completed, the reader receives immediate access to the digital content.

3. Refund Policy for Readers

6. Creator Payouts

  • Payouts are sent to the Mobile Money number provided by the creator

  • SILK is not responsible for failed payouts caused by incorrect information

Payout schedules and minimum payout thresholds (if any) will be communicated on the platform.

7. Refund Impact on Creators

If a refund is approved:

  • The refunded amount will be deducted from the creator's earnings
  • If the payout has already occurred, the amount may be deducted from future earnings

If a creator's content is removed due to:

  • Copyright infringement

9. Taxes and Legal Obligations

  • Creators are solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on earnings

Readers are responsible for any applicable local taxes included in purchases.

10. Currency and Regional Considerations

  • Transactions may occur in different currencies depending on location
  • Conversion rates and transaction fees may be applied by payment providers

SILK is not responsible for third-party payment provider fees or exchange rate differences.
